I don't have any immediate use on another gallon, but "may" need it if I come across a really rusty tool. What's the typical shelf life (potency) of this provided it is stored in a adequate location?

Sold out. Now only available from a different party at $28 shipped. I would have totally grabbed this -- after trying literally everything including electrolysis, evaporust is my go-to for smaller stuff... nothing beats the ease of use and safety for machined surfaces.

Nice, thanks OP! I too am interested in how long it lasts

Evaporust lasts pretty much forever unused if you keep it sealed up.

It re-uses really well, too. Pour it through a double coffee filter back into the jug and put the cap back on. Leaving it uncovered is the no-no.

There must be lots of threads about it here. It's been around for years....

Evaporust converts rust by chelation. Filtering doesn't extend the life any unless unconverted rust flakes are being removed.

I believe EvapoRust could last through several uses depending on the extent of rust applied on, right?

I kept my jug of EvapoRust outside (sealed) during the colder months this past winter, and not sure if the potency is gone.

Awesome. Was just going to purchase one of these at full price. Picked up two and will give one to my dad as well.

It's darn good price. Highly effective solution. I'll be sure to properly store it this time around.

Correct. It will last a very long time if you keep it in a sealed container and filter out the muck that it removes. I had some that I used for over a year and it was dark brown. Eventually the chelation slowed to a crawl, and that's when I decided to dispose of it. Couldn't tell you if leaving it in the cold has any effect, as it ain't cold where I live.

Wish I'd seen this sooner, I need another gallon. I just picked up a bunch of rusty Plombs.
