I have a question. I inherited a 12 inch disk sander with a one horse Delco motor. Wired for 220, and I need 110. The tag is completely disfigured, so I can't see how to switch over the voltage. Is there any simple way to accomplish the changeover?
Thanks

Go to the company website ? call the company?

post some pics and see if there are any clues to what there like T1 T2 T3 terminals etc...

break out that multimeter and make use of your metering skills...

If it is a single phase induction motor. In general.... if the running coils are in parallel they are 120V... if the running coils are in series they are 240V...

No simple way... unless some one have that same disk sander and send you a pic .

Good luck with any company support on this Delco motor....... You may want to find a local motor shop to help you out if you aren’t familiar with "ringing out" motor windings.

Any pics of the name plate?
How many leads?

If you want to keep everything authentic, you might consider a transformer to raise your voltage to the original 220/240 the motor was wound for.
