I'm looking at buying a 1" impact, my dad bought a campbell hausfeld several years ago and the only way to get it to work is to add more air to it, were already feeding it with a 1/2 hose and bigger inlet but it seems to want more, I spent and hour last night taking 4 tires on my lead drive axle waiting on the compressor to be at max PSI which is 180 psi. if it wasn't there it wouldn't work.

Anyways, I'm looking to a good 1" impact, I always liked ingersoll but the price is steep for that gun. This isn't a gun we use on the daily basis like most shops. I see that Norther Tool has a 1" Klutch for $279.00 I'm ok with that price. anyone have any feedback on other brands good and bad and price range.

We have one specific job that calls for like 1300 lbs of torque on a pumps truss rods that we have to have 1" drive to get done reliably / fast. We got by with a couple of economy brands over the years - Chicago / Central Pneumatics or the like. We've use a couple of different ones and they where okay for this job happening a few times a year at the most. I think the one from Central that I have, cost me more 10 years ago than what HF sells them for today.....

I know nothing of Klutch brand mentioned.
Check the specs - seems like the cheaper guns eat up more CFMs to get the work done.
