I have a 2 post lift now and am going to be building a atv/motorcycle lift out of a surplus cylinder. To save money I'd like to use my existing power unit to run both. It can be done with quick connect fittings but I'm wondering if there is some kind of valve I could use to dirrect which lift I want to use. OR do any of you guys have a better idea???

What you need is a double spool valve. That assumes that you have a separate power unit that is not integrated into the lift. For a motor cycle lift an electric cylinder maybe a cheaper option than the additional valve, hose, and cylinder you will need to do what you are proposing .

Thanks for the reply! I had never seen a electric cylinder, neat.

I didn't mention in my original post that I will be sinking this new lift in the floor so that when not in use it will b flush with the ground much like this one I've seen on YouTube.

A quick eBay search reveals some in the $40 price range.

Just got rid of one of those table lifts. It was always in the way when not in use. That's why I want this one to be flush with the floor when not being used.
