I picked up a used, very good condition 1 qt Eagle Safety can at a garage sale. The seal to the cap is still good and the spark arrest is still in place.

I was thinking about storing acetone in it. Any reason why this isnt a good idea?

Curious to hear what others use a 1 qt safety can for. I already keep gasoline and mix in safety cans. Thanks.

Acetone may be uniquely able to destroy the seals in the safety can. I would store acetone in a metal quart can. I have a gallon of reagent-grade acetone that is in a very thick poly/plastic bottle, FWIW.
