I would recommend against any of the Asian made Yost vices (any of their vices that have a crinkle paint finish). The machining and finish on them is very poor, even for the $100 buck price point.
As an alternative, I would suggest a Craftsman Professional model. I understand they can be hard to find at some Sears stores but I do see them on the shelf at my local sears (Alderwood mall, Wa state).

Not to derail the thread, but I bought a mid-70's Craftsman vice off e-bay for $35 shipped. Guy fit it in one of those flat-rate boxes from USPS. He had refinished it and put new jaw pads on it too. Looks mostly like that one, but obviously older and a little more retro. Great vice at a great price.
