This old Central Machinery / Harbor Freight portable planer popped up locally and the price was "make me an offer".
I sent messaged him asking how well it worked and that I had no idea how much as I could not find any info on it.
He said it worked very well, but each of the knives had nicks and needed replacing.
He said he would take a case of Mich Golden Light for the planer.
I have a large pile of rough cut pine from when we cut our 1/4 mile driveway in 2017 that I want to plane, so I made the swap.
I ran a 2x6 through to see how it ran and it pulled the wood through nicely and worked great, aside from the blade nicks leaving a groove down the board.
I searched online for blades, didn't find much, then hit ebay and found a brand new set in the box for $30.
New blades arrive today.
not the finest machine, but I can prep the lumber for our sauna build.
