10' Fan Placement

Hey yall!

I am trying to figure out exactly where I should put 2 10' fans in the shop. I have 24' of clearance between two obstacles so only 4' between the two fans if I go straight in a line. If I do diagonal, I can get more distance between them. See crude drawing for current layout and obstacles. ?2 is diagonal layout.

What's the move here?

I'd go with the diagonal layout.

What is the plan for avoiding the flickering effect? Will the lights be below the fans?

What's the next size bigger fan? One bigger fan in the middle might due.
I don't know if 2 10' fans would contribute to each other or fight each other "stirring" the air?

10' is as big as I can get without getting into the big boys that run like 4k for a 16'. Something like a big *** fan wouldn't be bad because of how slow they move, no flicker, but cost an arm and a leg

I thought that you might already be in that $$ territory at 10'.👍
I don't know if fans working against each other is "a thing". Hopefully someone more learned than I will put you on track.
It might be a little pita but it's not the end of the world if you need to re position them.

You can actually snag 10 footers from Menards for $470. Hard to beat 40k CFM for $1000

Do you already have the lights in? If you can draw them in it might help as you may get more flicker in one position versus another. As drawn I would select neither - I would probably go with both of them in the center of the long wall side by side. That would be good if they are there just to circulate air. If you want to feel the air move, then the diagonal would work although you could install smaller fans directly over work areas. Just depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

Currently lights are in 4 lines of 5. They're skinny little guys so maybe flicker won't be so bad? I plan to have storage loft above office you can see in right side of picture so I don't want any blades swining into there.

Alrighty man, fan is in! Absolutely 0 light flickering with my setup. If I knew how to upload a video I would but it's doing great! Definitely pushing some air around. For sure worth the money. I ended up with just one fan right in the middle and I think that's plenty with my setup. However, if I had roll up doors and no loft, I would have went with two right down the middle. Install was super easy and I went with one of those new smart box ceiling boxes with the 3 lag screws from Lowes, good for 75lbs, the fan is only 33! Currently hanging out in here and it's 75 outside and all doors are closed and I have near 0 wall insulation.

This is the one I got and they're in stock. If you look into Patriot Lighting they don't have good reviews but they are just rebranding a Canarm Fanbos 120(which has great reviews) which sells for about $300 more. It's literally exactly the same model number and the box even said Fanbos.
