I'm looking at this 10 gallon air compressor http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K2T9UK0/?tag=atomicindus08-20 and I'm wondering if you guys think it would be a good size for my home garage. I will be occasionally rotating my tires with a CP-7748 impact gun and using my air ratchet to work on family vehicles. It puts out 4cfm at 90psi so my ratchet will be good but do you think it will be ok for my impact I'm purchasing?

I would want at least a 30 gallon for impact use, and even then you'll be waiting for it to catch up after two wheels.

Air tools with ratings less than 10 CFM are usually rated for an average 25% duty cycle so you would want to multiply by 4-8X to get true CFM. For example, Snap On specifications may say 4-5 CFM (37 SCFM). That's the average and the full load use. Typically I find air ratchets use more air than impacts because they are running longer. As an example, with my Snap On MG725 I can take off about 10-15 lug nuts before the compressor on the 30 gallon tank kicks in. I'd suggest no less than a 30 gallon tank, and go bigger if you plan to use the air ratchet much.
