I've been installing vinyl siding on my son's house. I've been using a Milwaukee mini circular saw with the 3" diamond masonry blade that came packaged with the saw along with a 12" speed square to cut the vinyl. The amount of vinyl dust created is minimal.

After watching this video I made my own jig. Saved me a lot of time.

Used my cordless circular saw with the blade reversed.

I’m using a cheap, fine tooth blade installed backwards in the saw for both the vinyl siding and aluminum soffit on my garage. Works well for both.
