10 key Pad for a Sliding Glass Door

I now have 10 key pads on all my doors to the house, including the one from the garage into the house. Anyway, I was wondering if anybody had any type of keyless entry system for a sliding glass door. I can't seem to find anything, other than the ones made for regular/standard doors.

Not sure what type you have, but I have seen alot of these units freeze in the winter, not allowing you to get in the house.

I have an all mechanical keypad on my glass slider. Basically one of these:

that I slightly modified to work. Most of the modifications were to the door actually to mount it, the lock itself worked just fine out of the box. Been there for about 20 years now and is still good.

Not sure what type you have, but I have seen alot of these units freeze in the winter, not allowing you to get in the house.

I put a couple of the schlage models up in January. We didn't have particularly cold temps so not really a good test. I recently installed another on a cabin in the woods that sees -45F in the winter so we'll see. But I'm curious, if they do freeze, can't you just use the key? Mine have a key that mechanically opens the deadbolt in case the battery dies.

I've been using 10 key pads on all exterior doors as a replacement for the door knob and deadbolt and they've worked just fine in Illinois winters for the past 12+ years. By the way, we've been known to get lots of snow, below zero temps, and even freezing rain. The 9V batteries last many years and will make the key pad glow with a red light for a couple of months before they finally die. You can also use the key to override a dead battery - if ever needed. I'm just surprised that manufacturers are not making any of these for sliding glass doors. Anyway thanks for the mechanical lock suggestion. I'll definitely look into one of those.

Oh, and to add, I've had both mechanical (the one in the like I gave) and electronic keypad entry systems and in NH with potential -20 temps I've never had any problems with them freezing or not working well.

The good thing about the one I linked to is that it is long and narrow so it fits nicely on a slider.
