I had finally received mine, two out of the three I signed up for. They came to my inbox, not the spam folder. Perhaps just an overflow of requests?

Anyhoo...

Does anybody know if home depot will take these coupons?

Yes, but YMMV. I printed both out, didn't find anything to my liking and off to Home Depot I went. They accepted them without the slightest hesitation. I can snap some pics of my receipts when I get back to my house.

Do they scan it or just manually take $10 off?

It won't scan b/c it's a Lowe's coupon, so the cashier just manually entered in a 10 dollar competitor discount code.

And I did ask as I approached the register if they would accept it, they told me yes. So I didn't just dump it on them at the last minute, I showcased the coupon & told them the format of it, print out from an email, and there wasn't any hesitation on their part.

Pick up their 4 piece Husky double box end wrench sets. There's a 4 piece sae and a 4 piece metric and they're like 12.**. If you use a couple for each one, you'll be out the door for each one costing a little over 3.** Not too bad for two, 4 piece double box end wrench sets.

Yeah i was looking at a few things online. Figured I could use coupons for whatever I buy. Im usually a big USA made fan (dont have any chinese tools in my main box :pimpflash )but for this set im not too concerned.

I didn't get a coupon so I called the number on the mylowes.com page and gave them some info. They sent me an apology email with a code in it. Not a scannable coupon but the long code under the barcode. Going to try it at the store today.

Gaak! I printed my coupon at work last evening and forgot about it - left it on the printer. When I came in this morning it was gone. Thieves!

Now I have to run to Lowe's and buy SOMETHING/ANYTHING before the thief does. Jerk.

Edit: stopped at Lowe's at lunchtime. My coupon was already claimed. Bastards!

I got my coupons for lowes no problem (thanks to the OP for the thread). Saw this post and thougth Id mention that I noticed on Ebay a few USA made Channellock tool kits in cases with the lifetime warranty on them too. Certainly not the cream of the crop but not a bad deal and maybe worth a look.

EDIT: Even less on Amazon (suspect of USA made here though, please verify if important to you)

Did channellock once make Ratchets/sockets in the usa and then move to china?

I've been digging around trying to find that out too. For what its worth, I saw that the ratcheting screwdriver (13 in 1) driver lists as made in Canada. While the ratchet wrenches claim made in USA on Channellock's site. I haven't been able to find out about the ratchets though.

Still, at $65 for the set, not too shabby for a 72t set like that. Hope it helped.

Well here's the pics of my receipts being accepted at Home Depot that I alluded to earlier. And yes, not only did I use my coupons, but I used the coupons of those I told to sign up that I knew would never, ever use them. So in the end, a great way to stock up on "filler" material for the garage. Oh, and there's one Lowe's receipt in here, haha!

HD around me never takes print out coupons. Wish they would, there are couple of saw blades I would like to get.

I went to two separate Home Depot locations and they didn't hesitate at either location. The only "issue" I had at the first Home Depot I went to, was that the cashier didn't know what she was doing on the register.

Sweet! Yeah i figured i could use the coupons at lowes then use a copy at home depot since they dont scan it

Overall i went 4 for 6. Signed up 6x with lowes and got 4 coupons

On top of all of this I just got an email from sears with $10 in free SYWR points!

Looks like my plan for a $100 tool kit is a go!

I just called lowes for kicks, first guy was cool and then we got disconnected. Second girl was a hag and was yelling at me stating it was just a program to see how many people would sign up and no guarantee of being issued a coupon! Oh well!

I went to home depot twice today. First store did NOT take the coupon and said they dont take computer generated coupons. Went to another home depot and they took the coupon no problem and I walked out with a pair of Channellock 440 (12'') pliers for $5! Theyre gonna be part of my $100 kit.

So far Ive spent $68 and the only major things I lack are SAE sockets and wrenches.

Got a nice box, ton of screwdrivers(flat, phillips, torx and precision), bunch of pliers, pair o vise grips(USA with global materials), metric wrenches, metric sockets 10-18 deep and short with a 3/8 ratchet and u-joint, few other things (hammer, level, jab saw, tape measure, box cutter, etc)

Im gonna be done with it in the near future so ill post a thread when im done!

you can contact them through mylowes, if you fully set up the mylowes account, and they will send you a code that will work at the store.

So I have now used all 4 of mine and in the end after buying stuff on sale + using Coupons, I got $155 worth of Kobalt junk for $25.41

Not bad if you ask me :bounce:

If it is junk, why even bother getting it. They are not usa made.

Just Cheap junk to keep in my truck in case I need it. Id rather lose or have someone steal a pair of cheap Kobalt pliers than a pair of Channellocks.

I literally paid pennies on the dollar for some of it. $0.41 for everything in the picture. I could break something and warranty it for more than that in store credit :bounce:
