100 amp sub panel shopping list, can you check me?

I am going to install a 100amp sub panel in my garage and I need to go shopping. Can you check my shopping list to get this installed properly.

Starting at my main box.

1/3 with ground aluminum wire 65' (this is roughly 10% more than my measurement).
100 amp GE feeder breaker.
Conduit and fittings to make a short run into my house
100 amp Subpanel
Breakers for new circuits

I have I-beam joists with knock outs for running wire, should I buy some clamps to secure it in areas that it runs along the beams? Do they need to be insulated?

Also, I have heard of anti-oxidation paste, I am guessing I should pick up some of that as well?

I question the use of #1 wire and here’s the issue with wire size for a feed to a sub pan. There're several things that determine the size of wire.
1. Is your garage detached or attached?
2. Is part of the feed run inside the house then going outside?
3. Is the feed running inside insulated walls?
4. Is the feed underground or in air?
For 100A service you may need both SER and USE cable or just one type depending on your wire run. You may need #1 or you may need #1/0 based on the wire run. You need to provide more info as to how you plan on running the wire.

I’ll make an assumption based on your 65’ and conduit statement that your garage is detached. Going on that, I recommend #1/0 AL Mobile Home Feeder from the house to the garage. The MHF can be direct buried, but I recommend conduit. Where MHF enters interior is has to be in conduit or you can transition to SER by splicing in a very large junction box, this goes for both inside the house and garage. So if you use MHF from main to sub you will need to at a minimum put conduit inside the house and garage, but I recommend conduit fully from main to sub.

If attached garage, then use #1/0 AL SER from main to sub. You can get buy with #1 if the SER cable is not running inside of an insulated wall.

Most important, make sure you buy a ground bar kit for the panel. They're not included and must be installed to isolate the grounds from the neutrals.

Lots of cable clamps (where the wires enter the knockouts)
Wire twist connectors
Wire strippers
