personally, no I would not even consider that. What area are you in? Unless you're in the middle of Siberia and that is the only one for sale within 3,000 miles....maybe....for $50. IF it runs tight and the table crank works good. jmho

Yeah, $50 is the max I would pay. Those types of DPs are common around here, and often seem to sell for around $50. There are some listed for more, but they sit for weeks or even months.
Well not Siberia, but I've been watching for some time now and everything is in parts or much older and rougher shape.
In fact I've been looking for so long I'm almost to the point of just dropping the $375-400 on a Jet drill press.

I admit that I haven't shopped for one in many years, but I think $100 is a fine price assuming it has no major issues.

Fair deal? Maybe just maybe. Good deal? No.
A good deal would be a better drill press or a lower price.
(Don't look past the reason they are selling. The picture shows it outside of a storage facility. That ... and the fact that the base has what looks like surface rust, but the table doesn't. Why? would be my question.) I think it's either a quick flip, selling family members stuff, or used and not taken care of.

At $100, I'd pass. At $50, I'd think about it, but want to pay $30. (I'm cheap)
I had the 8" version of that DP and used it for 20yrs, until I went bigger. It's still going strong, and looks in better condition than the one you listed. This one may be fine, but with patience I think you can do better.

I just sold one for $60. Around here people are asking $100-$150 for these small guys. No clue if they are selling

No way. Drill presses are everywhere, and that little Delta is nothing special. $50 tops. There is a huge Delta DP220 floor standing unit in NJ for sale for $125. You could buy that thing new for $100, let alone used. Forget it.

Yea, that's high but keep in mind most GJ members are so tight that if you put a lump of coal up their ***, they'd **** diamonds.
If it has the features you want then make an offer. Beats paying store prices.
That model is better then the current crop of "toy" drill presses at HF, Home Crapo or Sears.

No way that DP is worth $100 used.
I've bought a half-dozen older, better Deltas for $35 to $100. If you were in Spokane, I'd sell you a clean, rust-free good one for $100. Keep looking. They're out there.

It's very underpowered, and Asian made.
That's no classic USA made
Mine does fine for homeowner light wood drilling, but
nothing professional or serious metal working.
I'd offer about $25-30 as one other poster said.
I've seen several 8" DP at the flea market and on Ebay for between $25-50
One good metric I've used is to look at closed auctions on Ebay-- that usually gives a fair average of what something's selling for.
Most 8" Asian DP from the 90s seem to go for between $25-65 not including shipping.
No WAY is that worth $100 --- save that much $$ for
good quality WT or Craftsman in need of a rebuild to go another 50 years afterwards.

Dave, I'd slightly disagree with you --
That's a newer Delta, from about the 90s.
I have one I just moved 'up' to, only going about 2 points on the scale of 1 to 100.
I had a Lowes Global Machinery Corp Asian DP I had given $25 for, and it was a cheapie.
The Delta was really almost identical in quality and features to the Global DP.
Delta's gone way down hill in the 90s and beyond, at least for the stuff they used to sell in chain hardware stores..
Both were not really that far from a Central Machinery from HF.
I'd say my "new" Delta is a bit better than the Global I had, but not by much,
Both of them were way underpowered.
I can drag both of them to a stop drilling through a 2x4 with a good bit.
Try that trick with my Shopsmith 10ER, and I'd be on the other side of the
garage wondering what happened.
Heck, if the OP has the space, find a Shopsmith 10ER and set it up as a dedicated vertical DP... about the same $$ and way more powerful,
although still not a "real" DP like a Jet or WT

I personally don't think a used Very small import DP is worth a Franklin anywhere in the country...

Agree with most of the others .... $100 is too much for this little drill press. But that's an opinion based from an Ohio location where used drill presses are everywhere .... things may be different where you are .... but where are you???

You might want to check redmond machinery and ask if they have any scratch and dents. I got a 1.5hp, 3/4" chuck 20" swing Jet from them for $400 and shipping.
