#100 Plastic Tip Hammer

I found this plastic tip hammer on Friday and the only markings are No 100. Anybody know who the manufacturer was?

I think you're right, Nupla still makes a no. 100 but it looks like fiberglass handle only. And they are made in Cali

I would imagine the wood handle one is a lot older.

My first guess would be Nupla; however, most Nupla soft face hammers I have seen have grooves around the aluminum head like the Williams-branded version shown below. I've also seen Nupla-made soft face hammers branded Proto, SK, and Bonney. (note this pic is from the future)

Is that a faint Williams marking I see under the No 200? Thanks for posting it.Here is a page from the 1960 Williams catalog.

Yes, but like yours, it didn't seem to have the ring grooves.

I suspect that the ones without the grooves may be earlier. I checked another early catalog (1951) and it appears that Williams was buying them from Nupla. So everyone is correct in their ID of the manufacturer.
