100 posts necessary for WTB

Placed a WTB for a tool in the "General Tool Discussion" because I could not put it in the Classifieds. Note in the classifieds stated that I had to have at least 100 posts before I could place anything for sale in the classifieds or WTB......why that rule ???

Because the Classified section is a bonus of the Garage Journal, and not a place for some only to list items without contributing to the forum.

The classifieds are intended to be a perk for members of the community. The 100 post rule is intended to weed out folks who's only motivation for being part of the community is to sell us something or get a great deal from us.

Even though it's a wanted to buy ad, a member can still scam other members. There are those willing to ship a part out before being paid or pay with a jacked account.

Yes, we had a member recently now banned who was going to do this. A couple of Mods decided it suspect.

Makes sense..................I just thought buying something from someone on here might be beneficial to both parties. I'm needing the tool in question pretty soon for some upcoming body work...........
