It's done to help prevent fly-by-night people from making scam for sale ads.

Why not make 100 useful posts instead, and become part of the community?

7. You must have a minimum post count of 100 to post threads in the classifieds. Alliance members can post no matter their post count.

Try being on the other side of that and having a new member scam you. It has been done to protect members. Join in and you will soon find 100 posts are easy and you will enjoy this place.

That is another option for you. Paid up Alliance member get plenty of access to good things like discounts.

Well, he did join 7 months ago and has 51 posts as of this post. Many of them were useful and the rest filler posts.

That was my point.

Useless posts just so you can sell stuff? How about becoming a productive and contributing member of the community and then transition to selling?

If that is too much to ask then stick to craigslist or ebay. No minimums there.
