does anyone use 100# propane tanks for heating?

what are you paying to rent/have them filled?

Its at 40 degrees all the time. I turn it up to 65 when im out there about two days a week for a 3-4 hours at a time. I havent went through a full tank yet. I did have a faulty regulator and thought the tank was empty but it wasnt. Its stupid cold here too. Its been well below zero at night and single digits during the day. I am using way less propane than I thought I would have. I figure if I use three to four tanks the whole winter I would be getting by cheaply.

Our gas logs use a 100# tank, and I think it was $70 to fill it last year. I need to refill it here soon. ***** to put the tank in the truck and take it to the place, but I don't have to do it often. Need to see about getting the gas company to run a line across the road to us I guess.

Not the same as heating a house, but we can run the logs for a couple months on it (a hour each morning to cut the chill, after a shower, etc).
