Good morning guys, for last few weeks I been loading 16’ trailer making hauls up to lake. The new shop has filled up fast and I’m not finishing hauling stuff. So it’s complete chaos, and I can’t find nothing. So instead of building I am having to organize things. Finally brought up my tool boxes, that’s also for woodworking and metal working trying to organize that stuff. For weeks I been tripping over cords, tired of MIA tools so it’s time for me to do little electrical in shop. One things that needed weeks ago is my table saw and outfeed table. So ran temporary power to my saw, which for now is piece of romex wire. I’ll run some SO cord later. Since I also need Dewalt radial arm saw to cut dados for windows I been working on running power for it and some 110v outlets. One of my needs to get place closed in is I have make window frames for house(4) and shop (4)which willonly let light in. With saw setup I begin rough cutting all window frames. Making these out of decking boards which is cheaper than buying treated 1x6x8’ that’s at 11.00 piece. Looking at pic you can see how everything is just scattered all over place. Going up again mid week but I’m taking down wire shelves in my old garage, going to install them in new garage. I have lot stuff also in totes so I’ll be able empty totes. Also you see my sleeping quarters since nights finally cooling off, much needed relief. Y’all are just about only ears have talk to, sorry about that. Always open for constructive criticism

I feel your pain. I just found the biggest part of my woodworking clamps that have been missing somewhere in the barn for a couple of years now it’s a great having them all out in the shop.

Thanks for the update.. I’m sure sometimes it seems like a never ending battle, but keep your eyes on the prize and what a great shop it’s turning into!

Be sure you have large enough romex for the extension cord. Decades ago my Sears radial arm saw died. Took it to the service center and the guy took a quick look while I waited to decide if it was fixable or order new motor. About 3 min into it he asks if I have been using an extension cord. Yes. I can fix this but either get a lot larger cord or don't use one from now on. Yes sir, thank you, I didn't know that. Also I will 3rd or 4th the above. I am really enjoying your journey so thanks for sharing.

Envious. We sold my 1000 sq ft retirement shop and downsized me to 350 sq ft. I now specialize in the doe-see-doe with all my gear. Happy with the move. Miss the shop. That jointer must have been fun moving. Curious about your dust collection plans. As we are in a neighborhood I was concerned about the noise of my Grizzly cyclone, so I went with the Harvey G700. As my space is so confined I have to move equipment regularly so I’m a hose dragged from machine to machine. It has been excellent for single tool use.

I do plan on having central vac system in future. But I have so many building projects going on at same time. Right now my supposedly game plan is to get place dried in. But I keep drifting off
