Guys finally some visual progress, so big yahooooo. Looking at this steel door with 3 piece door frame, guys it took me 1/2 days to get to this point. Use rotary hammer to install 3/8 wedge anchors but I was little off. The gap is wider at bottom than at top but I’m going to live with it. To my question, other than wedge anchors and tight fit that’s all holding door and frame. I was thinking about drilling holes on both sides of frame and install some of those 6” truss screws through frame to help hold all together. In pics you see what talking about. What do y’all think, is it necessary?
Yall don’t shot me down, I’m having a happy moment. Thanks for thoughts

looks like you have a commercial hollow metal door & frame. wedge anchors are fine.extra screws are fine too. typically the frames are filled with mortar to secure them ( & beef them up)

Did you install 1 longer screw in each hinge also? Not sure on that door style but on regular doors that’s standard practice

Thats a commercial door frame. As has been said it should have clips that go between the door and framing to hold the door. However if it is being installed in a masonary opening we used to drill like you are and use a masonary anchor to hold it.
