Please forgive me if I don't explain myself very well about this topic. I have two cheap fixtures in one on my buildings, the fixtures use two 65W Incandescent (max allowed ) bulbs in each fixtures, can I use these bulbs http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NOSDYE4/?tag=atomicindus08-20 safely or will I need to change my fixtures to get more lighting watts? Thanks

Yes the wattage draw is 16 Watts but puts out an equivalent of 100 watts of incandescent light. so you are not even close to drawing the 65watts or creating anywhere near the heat of a 65 watt bulb

Check and see what they say about being rated for fully enclosed fixtures if that's what the case is. LEDs do get quite hot, but they don't put out as much heat, if that makes any sense.

Also note that "100w" led bulbs are almost all in the large format a-21 bulb type and may not physically fit in a fixture for A19 bulbs.

Thanks for that bit of information, the fixtures are not enclosed so that's not a problem but if it has a larger screw in part ( no idea what's it really called ) it doesn't look like it will work anyways. Thanks

The base is the same. A21 bulbs are just physically larger above it. I don't know how much offhand.

I bought two LED Cree 100 Watt bulbs today to see if they would make a difference, they sure did, now I need to buy two more for the building and I'll be done. Thanks for the replies.
