104 Year Old Tool

OK, it's not a tool in the general sense of the word but it's a tool none the less. This came into Elroy's possession in about 1968 from Grand-dad. Elroy relined the case maybe 30 years ago.

Hope you enjoy the pictures. And yes it still works just fine. Put a fresh blade in there and your face ends up smoother than the proverbial babies behind.

Elroy's father purchased this at the PX in Japan about 1950. These are actually rather common.

I have a real old time razor blade sharpener still in the box that was my grandfathers. It is cool, you set a blade in the holder and crank a little handle which spins a little grinding wheel against the blade. After some spins on one side the little arm automatically flips over and sharpens the blade on the other side for awhile!
