Funny thing about prices some people think the same way as the guy selling his tool box and tools for $105,000 dollars. In my area one man has been trying to sell his old Dewalt saw in nice condition for $1600.00 dollars. Now RA saws are a dime a dozen but this guy just came down a little in his asking price from two months ago from about $2400.00 dollars.

I don't have the heart to tell him that someone posted a Monster 14 inch RA saw for $400.00 dollars some time ago twice the saw as his old Dewalt saw.

Sure I see his ad all the time and I am sure one of these days he will get smart and come down but old dewalts sell for $200.00 dollars not $1600.00 dollars.

Best of luck to both gentlemen I am sure someone wants to buy their tools but the wait might be a long time!

That ad has been on craigslist at least a year, maybe two.

Toughbooks are like 3-4 grand

Depends on the toughbook and how new it is. His mini could be one of the older ones (can't tell from the pic). We use them in geology all the time, because sand doesn't kill them and when something breaks, there are TONS on ebay for a few hundred at best.

Wondering if he's trying to get the full retail price he paid for it, plus whatever interest and fees he's had to pay out over the years.. Probably still doesn't come to 105,000 minimum..

I wouldn't buy something from a guy thinks it perfectly acceptable to post something at that price without a detailed list of contents.

"I have a mint condt. KR7100 with a mix of predominately Craftsman, and Snap-On (where it counts) hand tools with a few diagnostic items. $15,000"

Hey, he lowered his price from $21,000 (IIRC)

Thats funny i was gonna post the same thing. I know i've seen it as far back as 2 and half years ago and he wanted atleast 21,000 back then.

my friend was looking for a good price on a SO box and we saw this.. Bottom line is just how much of that chrome is SO, and how much is Craftsman... if it were all SO, then $15K for all that is a deal. Clearly it's not however, so it's not!

All he needs is one bid.

IMO, the guy is clearly looking for a sucker. After checking out his previous purchases, no way he can possibly believe the setup he has up for auction is worth $105k

List it enough times, and someone will bid it, sooner or later.

OR for $14000 you can get a brand new one of THIS ....and put the other $91,000 into one of every single item in the SO catalogue aside from the odd diagnostic machine...

Now it is $110,000. No bids, just upped the price. A lot of people must be watching it!

You dont find "suckers" with 100k in cash lying around just waiting for a used tool collection. They dont exist.

Someone should explain to him the concept of depreciation...

I wouldn't pay retail for a used car, why would I pay retail (or higher!? :wtf:) for your USED tools???

What is a reasonable amount for that setup? I would think most of the diagnostic computers and stuff are out of date, which makes their value zero. Looking at the box and tools, what is a good price for used? $10k? There really doesn't appear to be that much there of significant value.
