106.173841 Sears Compressor Drain

DIFFERENT TOPIC Same 106.173841 Compressor.
I'm looking for a drain valve. The Sears original style (really just a bolt) is discontinued and no longer made.
My problem is finding a replacement. I want something with a petcock. It appears to be 3/8". I haven't been to the hardware store to get the thread pitch but my guess is that it is SAE coarse thread. That will be easy io figure out.
My problem is that petcocks online only show size (usually 1/4" or 3/8") with no info on thread size or even if it is Metric or SAE. I'm guessing that most these days are metric. Any comments??

The 106 number prefix identifies Campbell Hausfeld as the manufacturer of that compressor. Maybe they have something that will work.

Usually, it is the ID to shop for. The OD is a "standard". You don't have to worry about threads. Look at the existing one, take it to the store and look at fittings. My guess is 1/4".
