10mm socket - Lost and Found!

Imagine the horror of looking at one of your socket trays and noticing a missing 10mm socket! How could this be?? After turning the garage upside down, the errant socket was found hiding on a 1/4” speeder. The moral of the story is yes, the 10mm can be found, often hiding in plain sight.

Yes, they have a habit of trying almost anything to avoid being found and put away. I managed to actually split one right up the side yesterday. It was the very last of the cheap ones that I'd bought many years ago and I just grabbed it without really thinking. Didn't fit on the head of the bolt. So I belted it with a hammer. Didn't like that apparently. Never mind, it has achieved its aim of being permanently lost ..... in the garbage bin.


You were lucky though. Try finding one of these after its made an escape bid.
