With all the recent discussion of roll up doors and the continuous questions of "how much" does something cost, I wanted to post a few quotes.
I have a shop with qty 3 x 10'x14' roll up doors. I don't like 'em. Hard to seal up, main complaint is they rattle like a Ridgeline with a thrown rod when it's windy.

I damaged one of my doors in a "truck camper" accident, it's not been the same and I'm going to replace it. Quotes on 10x14 panel doors are below (insulated and uninsulated).

I guess it comes down to quality, but those prices seem crazy to me. This is the one I just bought this summer for the new barn.
This is an R 12.9, they do offer an R18.4 for $300 more.

Hey, thanks for that. One difference in price may be that complete removal of the existing door and install are included in the quote. That's an even larger door...

I'm very hesitant to involve "multiple contractors" in door installs, been there, done that - they just point fingers when something goes wrong...I assume HD would send you to a 3rd party installer.

You are correct, I missed that that included removal and install. The quote's look like the install etc are on top of the door price. Mine was for DIY, I installed it myself and never priced it for install.

The price quote I got about eight weeks ago to install a 14x14 Clopay Gallery sectional garage door was about $7,500. Labor to remove and install included, but no opener.

I spent around $5,000 to buy and DIY install a 14x14 rollup door, and a 14x14 sectional door.

Any feed back on the Liftmaster 98022 Jackshaft - they're going to charge me about $300 to add that in (price mark up + $100 install).
I have Chamberlain jackshaft on my office garage door and love it... but that door is 10x10.

I've done "piecemeal" garage door installs before - Bought doors, hired installer for the doors, bought openers, had those installed. Won't do it again. I'd be willing to install a residential door (if I had more time) but I'm not messing with these commercial doors.

Yikes!

I had 3 10'x10' insulated doors installed for less than 10K. Find an independent operator. You are probably talking to a garage door company that was bought out by private equity and has doubled the prices of everything to double the profit.
