10x16 shed flooring

So I have this 10x16 old hickory building shed. It has wood floors in it. That was OK until I pulled an engine and tore it apart inside there and oil is everywhere. The oil is cleaned up but I don't like the hassle of shoveling dirt in to soak it up. I want another option. Something not so expensive.

I was thinking putting some manolium down so when something spills it does not soak into the world. I also would like the shop to look good.

Another option is to put down that cement backer sheets. Like the ones that go under new tile. Then over that I would paint it or something. The mat website doesn't have the size it need. Another ideas.

If you are going with cement board, just tile it with porcelain tile.

I really don't want to lay tile in there. Also that stuff is hard to cut so I would ha e to buy tools for it and all. I want like a day project. Move everything out early morning, do my work, then put everything back in that night. Any more suggestions?

Get remnant piece of linoleum at "dent & scratch" kind of warehouse.

Once you glue that baby down, you'll have LONG-Term floor for sure !!

$800 for rust bullet? I don't think so! Does the linoleum have like a sticky backing or do I have to spread some type of glue out?

Reskin it with some 3/4" tongue and groove OSB and paint it with an enamel floor paint. I put a wood floor in my machine shop in '92 and painted it with cheap enamel floor paint. It's held up for 24 years with no issues.
The OSB will hold up just fine as it will have a nice backer in your original floor. It will go nowhere.

I have found in my previous houses that linoleum floors were taped down around the edges and at the seams When I did a 2 hour remodel on a half bath, I put down new luan and used this double sided tape that defines sticky. If you can maybe get the wood floor dust free enough, you could run a piece of linoleum down and then tape the perimeter and some strips in the middle. I got my flooring off the roll at Home Depot for cheap. If you hate it or it ***** it's easy enough to take up. The tape will probably be difficult to get up though.

But my last concern is in the middle of the floor is a huge oil stain that I have tried to get up. I don't know if oil eater works on wood. I like the linoleum idea. I just want it to be functional and look good

$800?!? I would not do a shet for that either. 1 Gallon would do two coats $124.99. Depending on how porous a second gallon would come in handy for aesthetics.
