Wanted

1/2" drive, Knurl base 12 point Indesto socket in size 11/16"

In this style:

Picture070-1.jpg

Note, The socket shown is a 7/16 and is necked down. The 11/16 we are seeking would not narrow down. The knurled base as shown is correct. It states "Indestro Super"

Thanks

Rick, The funds went out in the mail this morning. Bambi thought Elroy should wait a day and deal with this first

those sockets don't look like the same series. It's hard to tell if the base is "frosted"

It only hurt Elroy $500 for the deductible. They'll fix it just fine. It cost the deer a lot more as it was twitch-en and kickin. Actually felt sorry for it. Damn thing darted right out there. Didn't even have a chance to hit the brake.

Been driven that road for a good 35 years and that's the first deer Elroy ever saw on it. Too bad it had to be so "up close".

Sense there is a fair amount of interest on the board on how to clean old tools. Elroy thought he would offer a few before and after shots of Ricksters 11/16 Indestro.

Looks frosted to Elroy.

Elroy's sincere thanks to both Rickster AND Bolster. We are again whole.

Nice restoration.

Glad Rickster was able to produce one. I have been hunting for one since we last spoke with no luck. Now that you don't need one I suppose they will be growing on trees at the local markets!!

Care to share the steps in your restoration? I'm guessing a soak in mineral spirits, followed by a soak in EOR, a hand wire brush, followed by a buff. Am I close??

And if you wanted to overdo it, perhaps a light dusting with a bead blaster around the top?
