110 volt 60 gallon air compressor

I need an air compressor I can use to run air tools (orbital sander, air saw etc) for my home garage. I think I need at least a 60 gallon tank. My problem is I am wired for 110 volts. The only 110v 60 gallon compressor I have found is Jegs which wants $215 for shipping and only to a business. Does anyone know of another compressor that can meet my needs ? My budget is $1000. Any suggestion welcome.

Look at what the air consumption of your air tools to define the air delivery requirements.

Tank size isn’t the main criteria here.

How difficult is it to add a sub panel in your garage? I suspect you aren’t going to be happy without getting 240v.

Tank size is the least important thing in a compressor. You need horsepower to generate the needed volume of air you need. Tank size only gives you a small head start on the job but once the compressor turns on it has to generate more air than you are using or you have to wait till the tank fills again.

If you're not painting and can take some breaks you can likely get by with a 30 gallon tank. There are many many options in that range.

How difficult would it be to run 220V to your garage? In the long run that's the better solution, especially if you foresee a welder in your future.

120v compressor wont keep up with a sander.
Even many 60 gallon 240v units won't.

I would find a way to get 240V to where you have to myself.

If youre looking for that much air 120V ones won't make enough cfm and the bigger tank only means it'll run longer to fill it.
