Landlord will not permit me running a 240 volt line so I am limited to 115-120 volt compressors. They are all $650-$800 and I would like to use a small sand blasting cabinet and HVLP? Thanks

If you want to do sand blasting and painting with an HVLP setup then I would get the Belaire model. You really need the 60 gallon tank or the compressor will be running all the time trying to catch up.

The garage mate is on closeout at Sears stores. Look on Searsoutlet.com to see if a store near you still has it!

I picked mine up a few weeks ago for $357.

I was leaning that way, this will be my first REAL/oiled compressor.

There are tractor supply stores in most parts of Florida. Otherwise the 60 gallon Bel air would be my choice from the links provided

sent from my Moto X

Nice deal but closest to me is 170 miles round-trip. That makes a couple votes for the Belaire.

Thanks, I have a Sears outlet nearby and will swing by tomorrow.

If you can do a 60 gallon, I'd go with the Bel air. As for the ir garage mate, puma has a compressior pratical identical, if not identical. Sells for around $350.

Yep that was my thread but nobody seems to buy Napa even though it's the same Atlas Copco compressor as the 2hp Belaire with the 3.5hp Quincy Alum pistons.

If I want to upgrade later then I would want to sell it for a good price, and not a low-ball price since I understand people including me would only want a brand with some history. The other problem is that Napa will not take it back if it breaks, so I would have to ship it to Atlas Copco in S.C. to get it looked at, and that's a non-starter.

So for better re-sale value the Chicago Pneumatic, Belaire or Quincy might be the brands to buy.

I read it here in a review from Texas

http://reviews.northerntool.com/039...l-p1-5iu-a9-reviews/reviews.htm?sort=hasPhoto

"I did buy an expansion tank and once I get that hooked up properly - I will try to update this review. It is a 20 gallon tank, which is no concern for the compressor since it does have a 100% duty cycle."

If it's wrong let me know and I will edit.

It is NOT 100% duty. Unless it is a Rotary SCREW compressor or an elite few big boy compressors such as a Quincy pressure lube or a POWEREX from Campbell's industrial line, or some LEROI units. Maybe a few I didn't name here , but NOT this one.

Also if he has a 100% duty cycle compressor, WHICH he does NOT, why the expansion tank. A 100% duty pump would never need an expansion tank for ANY reason.
