12' Garage door chain pull

Hey everyone,
I have a 36'x36'x14' 3 bay shop. It has (2) 8' roll up doors and (1) 12' roll up door.
I would like to install a chain type pull on the 12' door. I will probably install automatic door openers on the 8' doors.
I am looking for any ideas / product recommendations anyone has. I would like to attach it to the door directly if possible with out messing with the spring roller bar assembly. There is no ceiling so access to the top of the door is available.

You have a roll up door without the chain hoist? I didn’t know that was possible. How do they open currently?

I guess this isn't obvious. It is a standard garage door that happens to be 12' tall. 6 2' wide panels.
I could just attach a rope to the door and use that, but would like to inquire about other possibilities.

you should be able to buy a chain lift kit that will attach to the upper shaft

Just to clarify, your door is not a "roll up" door.

The 14 ft doors at my shop just have a rope tied to the side and I have never had an issue opening them in the 22 years I have been there.

Sorry, I guess my description of a roll up door is different than yours. It is just a standard garage door that is 12' high.
I guess I will just go ahead and put the rope back and go that route.

It sounds like you are looking for something like this? They work well, but they usually require an extended solid shaft on the torsion springs.

The chain hoist attaches to the pipe the spring(s) and cable spools are attached to.
If your existing pipe is not long enough you'll need to change it out, ideally it would be the style with keyed spools.

Not my description, just the fact. A "roll up" door rolls up into a housing like the one shown in my link. Your door is just a sectional door.

Sorry to thread jack, but My new metal building has 10'x10' coiling doors with no hoisting chain, just a rope tied to the handle. They are basically per-fab self contained storage unit doors.
