12' or 14' ceiling height on 24'by 32' pole building

Hello Everyone, I am ready to build my dream workshop that I have wanted for a very long time, the size of the building will be 24' by 32'. I am installing a lift in the building but have not zeroed in on a specific lift, thinking Rotary 10,000 or 12,000 lb lift, also looking at Bendpak, I thing Mohawk is out of my reach with other things going on. Anyway, will the building of this size look odd at 14', the building will be on 2 acres with a small two story house about 100' away. Any thought would be appreciated.

Go as high as you possibly can. I went with 14ft on a 32x40 and it will provide me enough height for my 4 post lift and also enough room for a loft for storage.

Also consider 12’ with scissor truss if you need the height. Fbi pole buildings has a nice 3d design tool where you can visualize your changes.

The 2' difference in height will.make a huge difference in lift choice, space and shouldn't cost that much more!

Of course most people will say that bigger is better, and it's true, but I agree with your thought that 14 foot side walls on that size building starts to look goofy. The proportions are off. As suggested, I would consider 12 foot walls with scissor trusses instead.

Paul's suggestion of a 3D design tool is a good one too. You can also search Google images for examples of what you want.

The height will also be somewhat dependent on whether your working on sports cars or lifted trucks. It makes a difference. Also consider roof pitch if your considering a second floor or loft like mine.

14'. I went with 12' and I regret my decision. With 14' you can add a nice loft and still have enough headroom to walk on top of it and under it.
