I have used this site pretty often for random project, so I'm hoping I can get some answers or ideas here. This is for a tool I have made to test lights on semi trailer. Essentially it is a box with 7 SPST switches to test all the different lights on a trailer (brake, tail, left signal, right signal, marker, aux., and all lights) The turn signal switches are wired to a flasher for obvious reasons... All this is run off of a 12 volt battery. I would like to know if it is possible to wire a remote control system to active each of these switches individually while still retaining the ability to control the lights with the rocker switches if need be. I have never wired a remote control so I'm not sure how to go about this. I can provide a basic wire diagram of what I am currently working with. I have found this 6 channel control switch, but am unsure if it would work for what I need. I know when I wired aux reverse or work lights in trucks I used SPST relays to run the lights on from 2 sources so I'm wondering if this would be similar.
Any thoughts and ideas would be appreciated.

That should work. If you hit ebay they have 8 and 12 channel as well. Search "8 channel 12v wireless remote"

Don't sweat wiring it. It is very straight forward and the paperwork included will get you straight. Basically a 12v supply and a switched wire for each channel. The "base" was rated high enough for my app but I used a relay anyway. I would think you would as well incase you get a short in the wiring. A self resetting breaker as well.

That is a great idea for a project.
