Looking for suggestions on a Wifi thermostat compatible with 120v baseboard heating.

This is for a cabin which usually has the temp set to 50 when we are away, we would like to turn the temp up and possibly monitor it remotely prior to arriving.

I have used Honeywell RT850T-240 to connect Nest to a 240v baseboard in Garage. They also have 208 and 120 volt models. It does not have a relay, it uses solid state switching instead, so I am hoping it would be more reliable than HVAC relay. I also have an add-on HVAC relay to control forced air electric heater for second stage - it kicks in only when the garage door is opened to quickly re-heat the air.

How are you guys liking your nest. I'm kinda 50/50 on it for hot water heating apps. Even with ECO turned off, it seems to shut off the boiler side too early and just runs the pump. I'm not too keen on the -algorithinms- it uses in that respect

I've done this similarly for a 240V electric garage heater controlled by a 24V thermostat, but using a 24V transformer to power the thermostat, and a contactor with a 24V coil.

There would be many more options available for 24V "smart" thermostats than line voltage.
