My parents have a house on a lake. We have a Waverunner in a shed that has a 120V Warn 3000 winch to lower it down a ramp into the water. Right now we have a drum switch to reverse the motor. I would like to not do that anymore to avoid wet people operating the drum switch. I would like to use a 4 pole reversing contactor and have a lanyard with waterproof switches to provide control voltage to the contactor. I can put the contactor and a transformer for control power in a box up high. Motor is 3/4HP 120V, appears to be 20.9A max. It has wires 1,3,8 together and 2,4,5 together to go 1 direction and 1,3,5 and 2,4,8 to go the other (switch 5 and 8). On 1 side of the contactor I can go L1 to 1&3 and L2 to 8 connected to neutral then L3 to 5 and L4 to 2&4 connected to line voltage. Then to reverse I can go L1 to 1&3 and L2 to 5 connected to neutral then L3 to 8 and L4 to 2&4 connected to line voltage. That should reverse it. So my question is on sourcing this contactor. There are so many options. Do any of you have a suggestion on a contactor? Would a Schnieder LC2DT20-B7 work?
