I'm not sure if it is an actual micrometer, I think it is just a display piece. It looks like it is ~6"-7" or 7"-8" micrometer. It also looks like it is attached to the base plate somehow.

A place I use to work, we had micrometers 12"+ all the way up to 30+" dial gauges. Usually the frame has holes in it so it can actually be used. Not to mention the thimble is ~3" in diameter. :lol_hitti Gona need a baseball grip and sensitive touch to use that bad boy. Neat, but not sure if it is $1000 neat. I wonder what B&S has to say about it. I wonder if they would be interested in obtaining it. :dunno:

I agree the things cool, but $1000!!! This guy apparently bought the thing at a flea market in September. It’s nonfunctional. He contacted B&S and they had no info on it. You can see his post on another forum here. (more pics)

For $150 I’d be a buyer
