I have a Kensun tire inflator that quit on the 119V side but sounds like new on the 12V side I have not determined if this unit has separate motors, but that is what I suspect. I’ve never used this on the 12V side so I hope I could get some years from it filling bike and car tires. If anyone has a rec on a 115V unit, that’s an easier mode for me to do vehicles under my carport.
I have used this every couple weeks for bike tires and realized that I could attach a pigtail to my rv battery for the 12V mode of this Kensun. I find it odd, however that cigarette outlets are widely available with 16 awg wire but they fuse the + side with a 20A fuse (useless?) and some include extra fuses of 25 and 30A.
Rather than buy a suspected fire hazard, I guess I’ll need to buy components so I can use and protect the right size wire (14 awg min). If any members know of a ready-made rig or even just a cigarette socket of decent quality, I’ll say TIA! Chinese **** strikes again!
