Well l have been wanting to build a little shed to get my junk out of the garage for awhile now. I live just on the edge of a tiny town and I have a "street" that dead ends to my property, they were planning on future expansion behind my property but they're letting my build something as long as it doesn't have a pad under it. So i guess my only option is to put a stone base down and plop a 12x24 at the end of the street.

Just trying to figure out where to start here. I have access to a bobcat to scrape the ground and level things.

I did help my cousin put up a kit from menards last summer and that thing was a pile of ****! I don't think I want to go that route, do I?

I pretty much would just like to store my snowmobile, riding lawn mower, pond toys, snow blower, sprayer, junk like that out there. Be a nice place to put the patio stuff in the winter also.

I can run electric out there if I really want to I suppose.

I'm just looking for advice here I guess, as I have no idea where to start. I have a compound miter saw and circular saw and stuff like that. I'm not super handy for I imagine with help from buddies I can build one, doesn't seem to be a huge deal.

Not really sure what style or anything to start looking at or where to buy plans from or anything. Any help is appreciated!

I took some a couple pictures of where I want to put it, but I tried to upload and it said it failed?

Sounds like you need to build something on a stone pad like you said and this is usually done by first laying down 4 x 4 pressure treated timbers. I would suggest going to look at a place that build sheds and garages that are transportable. They really aren't that much more than you can build them for. They can custom make them as to windows, types of door and so forth.

But if you would like to do it yourself, learn a bit about construction, go to visit one of these places and take a ton of pics that shows you how things are built. Then look for a book on building sheds/garages for more info. These are pretty simple structures to build and a great teacher and don't take a ton of diff power tools. Post more questions here or other places as you think of them.
