12'x36' clean slate

Here is my new 12x36 wood work/mechanic garage. looking for ideas, sugestions, thoughts. All elec. outlets are 48" high sick of bending over. Walls will be 1/2 cdx, using prodex 24 for radiant/vaper barrier. floor will be 12x12 black and white vinyl checker patern. NOTE: (any welding or torch work will be done out doors in yard) Will also have work bench across frount 12' wall.

Cool, Prefab isn't it? How much does something like that cost? What kind of permits are needed?

8 k for new, mine is a repo got it for 6 k delivered and leveled. Need building permit here bc of hurrican winds that way they know I have it tied down w moho 30" anchors 5 each side. Don't make sense if storm blows all that'll be left is the floor. I really think its to generate cash for the city. Most places consider these portable and don't have to permit them. It is a Bennett building out of GA said they deliver any place.

This was delivered on a trailer. Also no property tax considered portable building, only need one permit and my yard is small. Wanted 16'x38' but largest they make is 12'x36'.

Man after the troubles of the last year on my stick build, I wish at time I could of had a garage delivered... very cool space. when I saw the dimensions i though it was weird for a shop, all makes sense now!

Update, been busy this summer. Back in garage now here are update photos. Please ignore the mess still organizing my stuff.

Ceiling lights make All the difference now. The tiles and wall paint were good But you can see everything now.

Outstanding set up. Especially like the lights and the center for the reels, etc. The benches and your tool chests look like they will do a great job for you. I am impressed with the finish of the interior all around.

Thank you for all the positive comments. There are 16 light fixtures on the ceiling. Hose reel new off clist, craftsman drop cord reel on clearance, mounted with uni-strut. Work bench being covered with repurposed red oak lath from work.

Very nice work have you done anything out side like a roof over the bay door so when you weld out there you out of the sun ?
