13/16 spark plug socket
Are they still used in new cars?
The only time I used one was a 1973 Mercury Montego
I know some lawn motors use it....

most likly smaller to accomodate smaller engines and better cooling passages in the head.
in a traditional V8 engine you will also have a little more freedom for the exhaust and exhaust manifolds

I use mine on the Land Cruiser with the 2F inline 6 cylinder engine. IIRC, those engines were discontinued in LC's by the late 80's.

I believe the RX8 and all Mazda rotaries have them, 2.4 L KIAs and Hyundais before the world engine (pre 2006), not sure about the world engines.

LR used 13/16" plugs until the most recent generation of engines. Now they use 5/8" plugs. The engines were basically 40+ year old Buick 215's in one version or another (bored, stroked, or both).

I have a 345 International motor that has them and the SBC double hump heads use them. I have not seen any "newer" stuff that has had them. Most of the the small engines I have been messing with have a 3/4" plug.

I think my dodge might have them. But i dont know, havent had it on the road enough to need to do a full tune up. Thats going to happen in the spring.
