Hi dudes.

About 50% of the bolts I hit at work use a 13mm hex. I keep a 13mm reversible ratcheting spanner in my pocket which I’m particular about, every other size is just whatever I happen to pick up.

Question 1: Currenty using a BluePoint BOERM13. Is this the dual 80 technology stuff in a different body? Happy with it for now, but it’s maybe 6 months old and getting sloppy. Good length, clickyness, backdrag.

Question 2: What equivalents could I look for for a bit of abuse, nice to use, can cope with some water / yuckyness? Ability to open up and rebuild / clean and lube would be nice. Snap on, too long, weird balance when ticking back on the ratchet. Gearwrench 90t, hard to reverse and weird balance again. Wera joker, joke. Had an older facom before this and it was cool, until it went through a pump.

I avoid having too many tools on my person, so I’m going to be breaking stuff loose with the ratchet end. Might even oppose an impact gun sometimes…

I’m in Australia so some brands might be hard to source.

Keen to hear your thoughts!

Gedore comes to mind immediately. They're user serviceable which I think is a big plus for you and they should be easy to come by in the land of the kangaroo.

Sidchrome ratchet spanners are decent, they are rebrands of Facom.
All Stanley Black and Decker brands, so all pretty much the same stuff.

If you liked the Facom, get another one of those, it sounds like based on your use case that none will last that long.
