I just wen't to a fellas place and bought a ton at great (a steal) prices the only thing I was unshure of was the set of pliers 14 piece mixed with little set in a flat foam holder and he through in a pair of side cutters. They are all in great shape and I paid $75 for it did I do ok or should I have passed.

I just visited a gentleman's home and got a cracker jack deal on a set of 14 pliers. He even allowed me to acquire an extra pair of side cutters for nothing! I was just wondering how all of the tool connoisseurs on this lovely site feel I did, and if you could leave me feedback on my purchase it would be most appreciated.

OP said he has been talking english his whole life. He didn't say that he wrote well. Do you really think there are a whole lot of mechanics out there whom can write well? Assuming that the OP is a mechanic.

HAHAHAHA I read what you wrote and then looked at your avatar and died laughing. But seriously, to be a mechanic with some of the cars nowadays, you have to have some sense to you.

looks to me like the OP posted from a cell phone (reads like a text message). Either that or he writes just as he speaks and hasn't discovered spell-check yet.

or both?

in any case, post up some pics and lets have a look at your purchase.

I would say they are worth the money - made in China or not, they would likely be better than most big box store pliers plus they have a lifetime guarantee.

I have those pliers, they are good. And you got a deal. Typically they sell those pliers with a bag. A 10 piece set sells for a hundred new, and a 20 pc set sells for $200. Several years ago I got the 20 pc set, I haven't had any problems.

At least he got "threw" right. I have seen posters use "threw" as in throwing a ball instead of the correct word "through." It looks like I only get to see the cleaned up version.
