I'd go for that as that's a good deal or better yet I'd go makita which is what I have and love them I got my set with bag,2 batteries and light for 40 bucks used. And they work awesome specially for the steal of a price. But Bosch is a good brand and for the price you cannot beat that deal 1 of my batteries cost that much lol

I'm a big Bosch fan and have a similar setup and have no complaints. Works well and gets the job done for me.

There's a Makita set for about $30 more that seems nearly identical other than cosmetics. Same for Porter-Cable, Hitachi, Dewalt, Ridgid and a few other brands. The main variance seems to be the batteries -- many only give you 1.2 - 1.4AH batteries instead of the 2.0AH batteries in this set.

I suspect it's one of those deals where they're all pretty much made in the same factory in China, so wait for the color you like to go on sale. I'm well aware the only German thing in the box is the name...

The Porter-Cable set is white, which seems especially insane in a tool doomed to hard use, and has all these extra silly overmolded nubs, ribs and lumps all over.

I kinda like the dark blue and less flashy styling, so I'll grab one of these sets.

Since I've been using beat to hell old Firestorm stuff with nearly dead NiCad batteries, I'm sure I'll be very impressed.

ACME tool is having a $25 off $100 Bosch promo right now

The 4pc CLPK495-181 is only $204 with the promo and includes the DDS181 and 25618 drill and driver plus the RS180 recip saw and the GLI18V-420 spot/flood light along with 2 slimline 2.0ah batteries and tool bag. Free shipping. All in all a pretty good deal! :D

And the BOSCH-CLPK26-181 compact drill and driver kit would be $174 after discount DDB181 1/2 In. Compact Drill/Driver and the IDS181 1/4 In. Hex Impact

The kit your looking at from either Amazon or Menards CLPK232A-181 would be $124 after discount but you will have to pay the nominal $6.95 shipping for purchases under $199.

A lot of online tool vendors often have a first time buyer free shipping offer. Never hurts to ask

I have that set and they are top notch. They are even better if you consider the other tools That share that battery. I have those plus the circular saw (love it goes and goes on one battery) the sawzall (love it) and I even have the impact gun. It's never rated highly, but it's done everything I've asked of it. And I always know where to find another fresh battery ( I have 2 chargers are 4 batteries).

To compare to Milwaukee: True Value has the m18 combo kit with two batteries and a soft case for $149 until Saturday.

That's a heckuva deal on the Bosch set. I don't have any Bosch cordless products, it like you I've read excellent things about them. Their corded tools are top-notch.

That is a good deal. However, typically the Bosch combo drill/driver comes with at least one of the fat pack batteries. Mine had two. But for that price go for it that is a good deal.

I bought the Bosch kit at last years Menard sale, although I think my batteries were only 1.5 amp hours.

I recommend this kit.

Just make sure with that kit it is actually the latest upgrade of 2606 drill and 2656 impact driver.

Early kits had models 2601/2650

This is why I hang out on GJ. I haven't a clue and five guys in the know have things sorted out in an hour.
