So, besides the import jacks that use the 15/16" job (thanks for that thread, by the way!!), what else would I commonly find 15/16" nuts/bolts in?
The crankshaft bolt on a Ford 351C takes a 15/16" socket.
I thought that you were a chevy guy Merk?
15/16" and 3/4" are about the most common sizes found on commercial trucks.I've worn out two Snappy 15/16" impact sockets in the last ten years and am about halfway through the third.
I guess not all vehicle manufacturers have switched huh?
I would have just assumed they would all be metric.....

They've made the switch alright - it's just that some suspension parts are maintaining their SAE fasteners. It keeps things interesting.![]()
The other part of the equation is that most trucks are sold as a cab and chassis and whatever type of box/body is mounted on them usually uses standard bolts. Most of the body builders have not switched to metric. All of our line bodies and booms are built in the US with standard fasteners.
Yeah, it works out great in really tight spots...........
Yep he beat me to it both my ferris and cub cadet commercial blade bolts 15/16commercial mowers with 5/8" blade spindles use a 15/16th socket
Here's a pic of one of my old 15/16" Snappy impact sockets next to one that's about a year old.You could say it's a common size for me to use.

If I had to pick a handful of sizes to work on farm equipment, 15/16 would be one of the first ones I'd pull, along with 3/4 and 9/16.
Lower ball joint nuts and a-arm shaft nuts on GM G-Body vehicles.
