15amp timmer for well pump?

I'm going to have a garden of sight this year and would like to have the sprinkler system turn on automatically.

The ideal set up would be a switch that would allow me to buy pass the timer and power up the well when I need water for other thing besides sprinkling. Then flip the switch to reactivate the timer.

Any ideas on how to do this? What timers would be a good option? I'm not really imprest with the typical garden timers attached to the facet. Would rather have a pool timer.

Your asking us to make a lot of assumptions here.

Is this well just for watering and not domestic water?
Why do you not have a pressure switch on this pump?

Typically the pump is left on an controlled by the pressure switch and the water flow is controlled by valving in the piping system. So what water system do you have and what do you want to do, I do not know what a "garden of sight" is?

What kind of pump/well system are you running? Typically sprinklers are tied into your main well and rely on a series of solenoid valves and a control panel/timer system to activate them.

Do you have a second well just for irrigation?

like this just for watering and on weekends washing car. Might be best to get a in ground sprinkler valve to do this.

Your existing sprinkler timer.(If I'm reading this right you have one) has a pump start ( sometimes called master valve) that comes on when any electriic valve is activated. Connect a switch between the transformer and the pump start . That'll activate the pump and get you going. I had to use a double throw sitch on mine cause it started a timer cycle on my old analog timer.

No, I'm starting from scratch no valve or timer. Just the well pump. I need the sprinklers to turn on automaticly but sumtimes I will need to use it for other things and would like a easy way to do both.

So - if there is no irrigation system in place, then you need an irrigation control, a pump motor control box, pump start relay and pressure switch. If you don't use a bladder tank, then no pressure switch. The irrigation control provides the control and timing you would need. Several suggestions for pump wiring here:
