HJE has pretty much the same range as that but for a little more $, I bought them and they are good, I would buy this deal if I could get their international checkout bit to work.

The Proto Classics are nice drivers! I pieced together my own set (none of the preexisting sets had all of the drivers I wanted). This is a pretty good deal for everyone not as picky as myself, especially if you have a Northern Tool near you (which I do not - according to the store search the closest is 851.2 miles away. dutchygray still has me beat though.)

I never knew anyone neurotic enough to check the configuration of a slotted screwdriver (besides "it fits"). Uh...do people do this? Do people say "oh no this is a cabinet screwdriver I can't use it on a different slotted screw"?:dunno:

Its a closeout set, so its the unsold dregs of the range, hence the lone Phillips. I use a lot of slot heads at work, 2nd fix carpentry, all the decorative hardware, with lovely soft Chinese junk screws, I need a constant supply of good slot head drivers.
The large prybar screwdriver is handy to have about too.

You beat me to it...

That whacking great big flat head/pry bar is $20.00 at Epstein's and I have seen it as high as $90.00 elsewhere...

Epsteins had a similar 18 pc set, without the Big Dude for $65.00...but now, all they offer is the smaller sets and singles...

As you can see, I bought them all...and I think they're among the best screwdrivers on the
market...All you need to add to the Northern Tool set is the Proto 9600AC 6 pc Phillips head set, and you'll be ready to really screw things up!!!

Proto Yellow Handle Classics are mostgood!!!

(In the "My toolbox" shot, the slot heads are on the right, and the Phillips and Torx are on the left...)
