Been planning this one for a long time. It's not going to be the biggest, but I'm going for an efficient use of space and materials with two large storage lofts, and a gambrel roof. The first order of business was to clear the site. I had built an 8' x 16' woodshed to store firewood about five years ago. I threw it together with pallets and cheap lumber because the plan was to construct this garage about four years ago  Lo and behold it held up pretty well over all that time and was pretty hard to tear down. Out with the old...

Batter boards up and two lines laid out:

I've got some grading to do-more on that later. Here's what it will look like when it's all done-the lean to along the side will serve as the new woodshed with about 5 and 1/2 cords of storage:

I'm hoping to get some of the grading done and start marking out the piers on Saturday before I get roped into preparing for Easter festivities :p

Nice. Keep us posted. I hope you don't have termites! I hate storing wood next to a building.

Valid point-I've never had a problem with them in the past, but its certainly possible. I'm hoping that the combination of treated wood, and keeping the area high and dry (I'll be building up a base with crushed concrete/stone) will keep them away.

Are those treadwrights on the Yota?

Yep! 265/75/16s mounted on steel Tundra wheels. Can't say enough good things about them. My only regret is that I didn't go bigger :p
