I am framing my rough opening for my 16' x 7' garage door. the rough opening will be 16 feet wide x 7 feet tall. I setup my laser level and found that the concrete floor height is 1/2" lower on one side. do I make the opening at 7 foot on the high side? Then deal with the uneven floor with a door seal?

Thanks

Kevin

You definitely dont want to hang the door crooked. Hang the door plum and level in as many directions as you can. Then fill all the gaps on the sides and bottom with gaskets, seals, and trim.

yeah the sides and top are level and plumb. just the floor is out of level by 1/2" in the 16 feet. I think it will be better to make the rough opening height of 7 feet on the higher side. Shouldn't be a problem since the door is mounted inside. Just looking for opinions before I set the header.
