My son is 16 years old and is hoping for a car this summer. Unlike when we were kids, real hands-on part time jobs for teenagers are hard to find. Micky D’s is always an option, but is a big plan B. He loves working with his hands, so about 2 years ago I picked up an old shop smith for $175 off Craigslist and he has been at it ever since. He has decided to try to make some extra money making sawdust in the garage and selling some of his projects. I could not be happier. His main products are custom hardwood pens. I have linked some pictures. We are thinking of hitting some craft shows and antique fairs this spring. He has a very cool, bolt action gun kit that is very popular. Let me know if anyone is interested and I will have him respond. He is looking to make $10-20 over the cost of the kit for the pens. So most range for $15-40 depending on kit cost.
