Although we did a pretty nice makeover on our 3 car attached garage last year I didn’t start a thread. Many many projects over the last 17 years have always pushed my little shed project down the list until now.

I do have room for about a 24x30 in one other spot when the budget permits but 16x24 was the maximum I could fit here with a septic field, sloping ground and property boundary.

As our projects ALWAYS go......it grew before we even started. “While we are tearing up the yard again, might as well add a patio and a sidewalk to connect everything together and up to the pool gate.”

Started forming up yesterday, poured the shed frost footing today and finished forming except for the apron they forgot. Concrete pour is TOMORROW!!!

I am a major DIY guy but not for concrete and just this ONCE, going to have my builder neighbor erect the shell of the shed and I will dry it in and finish it.

Scraping the lint out of the bottom of my pockets to get dried in so it may set for the winter before I move much farther after the structure is up.

Anyway......my first shed build for Garage Journal after slobbering over the garagemahal’s on here for YEARS.

A Shot from the shed location back to the house and shot out my wife’s office window and from front porch. A pergola is planned on the patio is the reason for the piers to thicken the post locations.

Walls are up, just a little more to do today. Trusses, roof sheathing, door and windows tomorrow. Starting to look like a SHED!

Day 1.5 and the shell is up! There is a ton of grading, edging, seeding, gravel etc. that also needs done before winter but will fit some things in as I can before Winter hits.

Pic upload fail, update later.

A lot of work it seems to get a little progress. Soffit and Fascia done, sill plate caulked inside and out, man door painted, windows and door framed out with pvc cedar grained lumber and caulked. Finally getting started on the siding. Siding is Ironstone by Royal. Love the Dark Gray.
